On their way to physical reunion, as they start healing themselves, twin souls can be facing very difficult challenges such as childhood traumas, emotional relationship heartbreaks, obstructions of all kind, repeated cycles of suffering, past life tragic memories and so on.
But the most challenging and hardest parts to overcome are the resistances coming from our own souls. This purification process is a long run process that will demand to let go of all of our resistances. One after the other. And ultimately the ones we hold on so tightly to and have been holding on to for eons. Those that are well hidden.
The soul reunion in the physical realm is believed to be unprecedented, at least at this scale. So many twin souls are currently awakened and are awakening to this incredible merging path and are on their way to reunion. There is no guidebook, no common map to refer to. Except to follow the agenda of our own higher guidance and higher Soul.
And this agenda will lead us to a deeper level of healing. To heal our souls. The more we heal, the deeper we go. And the deeper we heal. Layers after layers, we will continue our healing journey in order to overcome all the obstacles getting in the way of our reunion. And so the resistances will start to rise. One after the other, we will see them. We will see where parts of our souls are terrified of this reunion. We will see where parts of our souls fight this reunion from happening and sometimes block it. Those are the parts stuck in the separation consciousness. Mostly in fear. At higher levels of course, the higher Soul is planning the reunion and orchestrating it, by merging layer after layer, which ultimately means that those resistances will have to get unburied, become conscious, acknowledged and eventually released.

The resistance of becoming One again
In a very simple way, we could say that since our original separation, the soul has "split" into two polarities in order to experience matter and density through the incarnation process. Throughout this journey of incarnation, we experienced life through two different forms. And actually more. But let's focus on two for the purpose of this article. These two forms of existence have lived many, many, many incarnations this way. On planet Earth and elsewhere in the universe as twin souls are very old advanced souls.
Eventually, each form started to get used to this way of existing, at a lower frequency and dimension than they normally vibrate. They started to loose the sense of their wholeness in the density and challenging experience that is incarnation. They started to function separately to complete their incarnation's journey. Sometimes they lost track. Sometimes they couldn't bare to exist in this separated form for so long. Other times, they just felt lost and abandoned, feeling they were always missing a part of themselves.
This long experience of functioning separately can make parts of our soul resist coming back together again. Those parts can be really terrified to lose their identity, the one they spent eons to build and learn to own. They can be terrified to get destroyed in the merging process and become thus really aggressive sometimes in the fight for their survival. We could see this as a form of ego but applied at the soul level, fearing for its own destruction.
There are also parts that have lost trust in the process and no longer believe the merging is attainable on this earth plane. So many lifetimes of separation, suffering and aloneness could have created a pattern of resisting meeting each other again and allowing the merging process to take place.
Will the merging process destroy our identity ? Is this stupid dance destined to last forever and cause eternal pain and aloneness ? are some of the questions those parts of us are wondering.

The resistance of the purification process
The Twin flame journey is one of the hardest spiritual initiation. It requires strength, willpower, courage, surrendering, vulnerability, humility, trust, faith and most of all perseverance. All that is keeping the pair out of alignment to Light will come up to the surface to be faced, released and transformed. And this is a destructive process that brings chaos and insecurity. That forces us to face our deepest fears, our deepest traumas, our deepest illusions. This process can wipe out eons of ancestral programming and spiritual beliefs in an instant. All of our attachments, all of our beliefs, all of our conditioning will have to be reassessed and eventually upgraded. And parts of the soul can sometimes really resist this as it is extremely challenging.
Will all that defined me and all that I thought I was be destroyed in the process ?
Will my perception of the world get radically different and change reality into illusion ? Will all the knowledge that I have built up for lifetimes be wiped out in this process ?
are one the questions those parts of our soul can be wondering.

The fear of being destroyers
Very advanced souls such as twin souls know they have a great power. They know their energetic vibration is a very high frequency. They hold a pure aspect of Light at their core and know that in their merging process their vibration will uplift the vibration of everyone around them. Some parts of us can be terrified of the power of our third energy, the one that is created by the sacred physical intimacy of twin souls.
Sometimes parts of our souls can be afraid of their own energetic power. They can be afraid to become destroyers, to create chaos and destruction in them and around them. Those parts are usually related to the misuse of the spiritual power in other times. Where our power got completely out of control, like in Atlantis for instance. Or where we used it for the wrong purposes, etc...
Very advanced souls can also carry heavy universal and galactic karma as well, depending on the world they are related to, that can make them fear to reunite in the Light of their powerful essence.
Will I be able to control the energetic power that our physical reunion might create ? Can this divine power of creation will get the planet destroyed ? are some of the questions those parts of us are wondering.

The undeserving feeling of returning Home
Ascension is a process that will light up all the parts of us that feel unworthy of Love, of God's Love, of Source, of our Creator. Separation begins when we no longer consciously see ourselves as divine, as God, as part of and all that is at the same time. Guilt usually maintain those parts in the separation consciousness. In unworthiness and undeserving. The more we hold on to guilt, the less forgivable we think we are, and the more separated we feel. Responsibility is different from guilt. Whereas responsibility is a fair way to acknowledge some negative patterns and behaviors and take actions to change them, guilt is a very heavy sentence of self punishment and penitence. That can last for a very long time and seems to have no end. This process will enlighten all the parts within ourselves that feel unworthy of Love, of Light, of forgiveness.
Am I really worthy to return to my divine home ? Do I deserve God's love, grace and mercy ? are the questions some parts of us are wondering.
There are more of course. Those are the ones I personally know and have been working on myself and seeing in other twin souls pairs as well. As we ascend we become more and more aware of our multidimensionality. Even if our 3D mind doesn't see it. We begin to access those parts of our soul that are being pushed up to our awareness. This is part of our healing journey. Healing those parts of our Soul that are stuck in fear, in guilt, in resistance is our first and foremost mission.
And that's where our power is. The power to transform those resistances. The power to forgive ourselves and our beloved. The power to bring peace within our soul. The power to embrace love and light. The power to embrace oneness. The power to realign our Soul to its higher plan that is the merging of the divine at all levels, across all dimensions.
